Tom graduated from the University of Melbourne in the year 2000 and has worked in private practice for more than 20 years. Early in his career, Tom gained valuable experience working in England, before returning home to Melbourne in 2004.

He completed a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental surgeons in 2006 in general dentistry. He has now enjoyed the role of practice principal at Carlton Dental Care for the past 15 years.

Tom enjoys being a family dentist and likes to find solutions for patients dental problems. He has worked as a general family dentist in several Melbourne dental practices mainly focused in the northern suburbs. He has a particular interest in molar root canal treatment (to save badly broken, dead teeth), cosmetic porcelain veneers, ceramic crowns and restoration of dental implants.

Tom is very active with his continuing professional development and regularly attends education days to improve his knowledge and dental skills. Tom is also committed to modern state-of-the-art equipment so that patients can have the most advanced care possible and in a comfortable setting. Common feedback from existing patients is that he is a good caring dentist and skilled in treating nervous patients.

He lives locally in Melbourne’s inner northern suburbs and is raising a young family of his own.

Lan obtained her Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne. She gained valuable experience in general and digital dentistry working in private practices in Melbourne and Sydney. After welcoming her daughter in 2020, Lan has now permanently relocated to Melbourne to be closer to her family.

Lan finds all aspects of dentistry rewarding; she provides a wide range of dental services from general check-ups to complex procedures such as root canal therapies or dental implants. Lan also has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry including composite and porcelain veneers. She is passionate about providing quality dental care to patients, while always holding their comfort and peace of mind in the highest regard.

Outside of work, Lan enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her young family and practicing yoga in her spare time.

Dr Alanna Tanner was born and raised in Melbourne, pursuing a career in dentistry after completing a Bachelor of Science in 2008. After completing a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, she has worked in suburban family practice since 2014.
Dr Alanna enjoys many facets of dentistry and regularly participates in continuing education to increase her knowledge in the dental profession.  Dr Alanna has completed training in orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars however, she prefers to focus on performing general check up and cleans, fillings, root canal treatment, restoration of implants, crown and bridge work.  Alanna enjoys interacting with and treating patients of all ages, helping them to achieve healthy smiles.
Outside of dentistry, Alanna enjoys travel, dining out in Melbourne and spending time with family and friends.
