At Carlton Dental Care we use low-dose digital x-ray equipment which lowers an individuals’ exposure to radiation by up to 75%.
When digital dental x-rays are taken, they are transferred instantly to our computer system and are available for viewing.
There are many advantages to this type of x-ray:
- It is useful clinically to be able to zoom in and focus on important areas and details on the films taken.
- The images are easily transferred electronically to dental specialists or other dentists making clinical records more portable.
- This technology replaces the need for environmentally harmful chemicals used in developing the old plain film.
